Field Notes

Habitat:

Clear water with some movement. Common on the seaward side of shallow or patchy reefs.

Notes:

This was one of very few with the lavender color. Most were yellowish/olive green. Seen while snorkeling right off of the sidewalk on my own on a recent Cozumel cruise visit. P.S. I'm not 100% sure that the sea fans growing in this area are G. ventalina or G. flabellum, if someone is familiar with the area and has knowledge of this please let me know, thank you.)
