Description:
This spotting is of several individuals
Pic #1 is an Adult Male
Pic #2 is an Adult Female
Pics #3 & #4 - Nymphs
Both Males & Females have wings but only the Males are able to fly.
Orthomeria are under the family of Aschiphasmatidae and this specie has a pair of glands at the anterior edge of the prothorax that enables them to release defensive secretions of distinct odors, this is their defensive mechanism.
Habitat:
Tropical rain forest.
At night time when it is easier to see/find them, they tends to hang below the leafs of their food plants as in the pictures.
During day time, they are likely to be on the small branches, where they can easily camouflage like Sticks/twigs
