Field Notes

Description:

Endemic to Costa Rica, this is a small, nocturnal tree frog; that can be seen in the rainforests with transition to dry, and along intermittent rivers with transition to cloud forest, this specimen in particular, I found on a night walk at an altitude of 1350 meters above sea level. and they have been reported in heights from 500 to 1520 meters above sea level. despite not being considered threatened, it is said that the population decreased due to several tropical storms that affected Costa Rica the last 3 years

Habitat:

Along streams and very clean creeks , rainforest and cloud forest with a little influence of dry forest vegetation.
