Field Notes

Description:

Small shelf mushrooms that extended up the bark of an oak tree (I believe it may have even been white oak). Top was banded in brown and light brown while the bottom side appeared to be a beige and foamy color with lack of gills

I'm assuming this is false turkey tail; however I'm unsure. This was growing on an oak tree.

Habitat:

west central ga
