Field Notes

Description:

Flock of six Long-billed Dowitchers persist in Douglas County since January 2011. They show virtually no sign of turning into breeding plumage anytime soon. Once again this is an extremely rare sighting for Douglas County, Oregon.

Habitat:

Feeding and preening themselves amongst rocks in local city park pond.

Notes:

Took lots of photos.
