Description:

I didn't have my camera with me and so had to use my phone which doesn't take good close up shots- the sun was also very bright so I couldn't see the screen properly! I could see every detail of the flecked eyes and hairy legs though, could have been a perfect picture- next time maybe!

Habitat:

In the sunshine outside the supermarket!

Since these live in Iberia year round and individually they are likely to be correctly called Grasshoppers. It is said that it is only when they gather in huge swarms and become ravenously hungry that they mutate into locusts.
