Description:

10mm striking Blue and yellow bug.

Habitat:

Sandalwood Savannah Woodland Kimberley.

Species ID Suggestions

It's the length of wing buds that's best indicator of which instar you have but comparisons are hard to come by. Leuba's spotting is an earlier instar to Martins. And yours looks maybe the same stage as Leuba's... but yours has some yellow on the pronotum which hers doesn't. That's why I said it might be a close cousin... same genus maybe. Pentatomidae might be safest until expert comment comes in.

Commius elegans or maybe a close cousin... possibly penultimate instar.
