Description:
Exists in larval form for approximately 18 months, feeding on the roots of eucalyptus trees, before hatching out in the Moth form. The moths have no mouths and do not feed, living for only a week.
This appears to be the male.
Habitat:
Eucalyptus forests.
Notes:
It was hitting the glass door so hard that both I and the dog leaped-up thinking the house was being broken into.
