Field Notes

Description:

Basking on granite boulder on a hazy afternoon. There were lots of them.

Habitat:

Chaparral

A couple days later I found 2 trapped in an inch of water in a 5-gal bucket that someone had left sitting by a rock. 1 is half dead and I'm not sure he'll make it. The other will be fine (the one I'm holding in the picture).

Thanks. Turns out they both survived! I fed them some crickets and let them go.
Great photos. I love the big spiny lizards. I'm glad you rescued one at least.
