Field Notes

Description:

Male Varied Thrush with a few other Varied Thrushes mixed in with Robins.

Habitat:

Courtyard of my apartment complex. Snow level was 1500 feet elevation. Sighting occurred at 500 foot elevation.

Notes:

Very beautiful bird, but hard to get decent photographs of because they constantly move .... like so many other birds.

Thank you Alice for the photographic feedback. I always try to get the best photos possible. I don't know where you live, but the species Varied Thrush is mainly a USA Pacific Northwest bird..... however; it does breed at the higher elevations of California. Tom Becher
You did a good job. I like it. Have never seen one before.
