Description:

Hojas cubiertas en el envés de una capa densa de pelos afieltrados de color blanquecino.
Flores masculinas grandes y rojizas, en amentos colgantes, flores femeninas son de color amarillo-verdoso sobre pies separados.

Habitat:

Jardines del antiguo cauce del río Turia, Valencia.

Notes:

Recibe el nombre de "Populus" (del latín: popular) por ser abundante y en gran cantidad. Y el término "alba" (del latín: blanco) se refiere al color blanco de la cara inferior de las hojas.
