Habitat:

Squirrels belong to a large family of small or medium-sized rodents called the Sciuridae. The family includes tree squirrels, ground squirrels, chipmunks, marmots (including woodchucks), flying squirrels, and prairie dogs. Squirrels are indigenous to the Americas, Eurasia, and Africa and have been introduced to Australia.

Here spotted in Dutch forest.

@Alice, I think you're right, I should have called it a red squirrel. In Europe the red one is most common and is therefore just called squirrel. I'll change it. Thanks, Sebastiaan
I don't know what he is eating, but he must like it. I want to call him your red-headed squirrel, but that is not accurate, he is red all over,
