Description:

An IUCN Vulnerable species. It is declines because of consumption and habitat loss. I think its egg is quite interesting.

Habitat:

Natural streams at higher altitudes.

O...they breed more than one egg each time, just eggs are not as sticky together as others. But yes, their reproductivity is slightly weaker than other frogs of similar size. Pollution is a factor. As it only presence in mainland China, Hong Kong, Vietnam and maybe Laos, all places except Hong Kong have much agricultural land with fertilizers and pesticides ^ ^"
Is that one reason they are endangered? Probably loss of habitat is another, also pollution? I guess frogs can tell us a lot about the health of an ecosystem?
Thanks. Yes. One egg one baby. They are quite different from other frogs here that many have egg sacks in clusters while they have individual ones.
Nice series... pretty garland around the first one's neck. Is there only one toad in the egg sack?

It is so vulnerable that nothing is visible except the brown background for the first photo
