Field Notes

Description:

At the Chinese Garden in Sydney, my husband befriended a water dragon. He let me get quite close to take a number of photos. I appreciated the spikes and textures of his skin and how it contrasted with the smooth pebbles he was standing on.

Habitat:

Garden - although the located in the city, the Water dragons were not brought in but came on their own. They appear to like areas that have some water source and if startled will swim away.

Notes:

One of my favorite photos is the black and white, however the detail of the up close photos can't be underrated either... I couldn't make a choice.
