Field Notes

Description:

Loud and boisterous, Rainbow Lorikeets are a beautiful bird with cheeky attitudes. This bird started off on my head and meandered down to sitting beside me to eat some bird seed. They are brightly colored and primarily eat pollen and nectar.

Habitat:

Common in Australian wet timber areas of eastern and south-eastern areas. There is another sub species of Rainbow Lorikeets (Red-collared) that lives across the top end to the west coast of Australia.

A very nice series. You've really captured their facial expressions.
