Description:

Cute, about an 1-2 inches big. Hanging out in the backyard.

Habitat:

hardwood mini-forest with spring fed creek in the piedmont

White eyespot + orange underneath the legs= Gray treefrog Hyla chrysocelis or versicolor
cool ! I've seen lots of tree frogs around here, but none like this guy. Thanks for the ID's !
I know the desciption in the wikipedia link is not exactly the same but I think your frog is a juvinile and the Cuban tree frog can very in color.
Your welcome. I think it's a gray tree frog but I'm not sure. I'll do some research on tree frogs in your area.
Though it's skin looks like a toad if you look at the toes you will see that it is realy a tree frog.
