Field Notes

Description:

The Crimson Tip or Scarlet Tip (Colotis danae) is a small butterfly of the Family Pieridae, that is, the Yellows and Whites, which is found in Asia and Africa.

Notes:

Once again, the central grey part around the body is a slightly different shape, but I think this is a Scarlet Tip.

Yes Karen, there were many different little butterflies, all looking similar.
I found one similar in Namibia http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/360296092 I love how the dark shape in the middle looked like a dragonfly attacking the butterfly. I also love how we can see evolutionary differences between them
Yes Hema, and I've only just scratched the surface. Many more to post yet, and i only saw a small percentage of what was recorded.
It is nice to see such an abundance of butterflies. Indicates a good eco system.
