Pssst. Marsupials *are* mammals. Non-marsupial mammals are technically Placental mammal. The third group of mammals are Monotremes, of which the platypus and the echidna are the only two examples. So, if it expresses milk (we get the word mammal from mammary, i.e. breast) then it's a mammal, no matter how it gestates its young..
