Field Notes

Description:

Large, adult green lynx spider (possibly a female?) with spiked legs and chevron markings on its abdomen. This spider is webless--and uses its speed and agility to pounce and capture prey (much like a lynx). Legs are spiked.

Habitat:

Perching on a large basil plant on an organic farm surrounded by mixed hardwood and pine forest.
