Field Notes

Notes:

This was around 5 pm CST. I had to take these photos through a window that had a screen on it. Unfortunately, when I snuck out a door to get a better pic, the coyote caught my scent and took off like a shot.

WOW! What a great sighting! I'm in Ontario, Canada and we are starting to see one or two coyotes venturing into areas closely surrounding the city. It's really quite sad that they are being pushed out if their natural habitat due to all the building in our area. People get scared and want them destroyed here but they just don't understand that they have nowhere else to go. I feel so sorry for them. I love the photo you took because I can tell that he is near his beautiful wooded home and he looks like he is not hungry! I have a place in my heart for coyotes!
