Field Notes

Description:

Bright yellow, 5 petaled flowers sit atop a long, thin stalk that protrudes from a low-growing, fluffy mound of 3-4 leaf clovers.

Habitat:

Partial sun/shade mixed with other natives. Seeks out moisture, sometimes around or at base of other plants that are being watered. Very invasive.

Notes:

That was fun trying to describe in a semi scientific way.

Here's an Australian wood sorrel I posted recently; http://new.noahs-app.appspot.com/spottings/5174002. Although you cant's see them very well, it has purple hued clover-shaped leafs.
