Description:
My friend had 3 very tall Mullberry trees near Myakka river. Not like the mulberries I knew in Indiana, but huge (hardly poor man's fruit) I picked a gallon on her Florida Ranch.
Habitat:
The trees are not far from a large pond where my friend in her night gown fought off an Alligator at midnight which was trying to drag her dog into the pond. She only had a cushion to hit the gator,but finally won the tug of war and the dog still lives. She had one leg in the pond when the gator finally gave up and she knew she could not step any deeper.
Notes:
Story is under Habitat because it was told to me while I was picking the wonderful Mullberries.
