Description:
This ant-like insect is actually the female of a wasp. The females have no wings, and they have very painful pricks. This has orange patches on the abdomen, besides a velvety aspect and about 3cm in length. They have already been used in witchcraft rituals, hence the popular name of the witch wasp.

This wasp was found by my 7 year old son.
