Field Notes

Description:

The butterfly is a species in the family Lycaenidae. The wingspan is 24-32 mm. The upperside of the male is shiny light blue with a lighter ice blue leading edge of the forewing. The wings have a narrow black border and a clear white fringe. A black mark at the terminal portion of the veins does not extend more than halfway into the fringe.

Habitat:

Meadow.
