Field Notes

Description:

Goofy looking bird. Funny feet and bills. Snake-tucked long necks as they kick out their feet to walk. Very pelicanny way of looking at you sideways, but with a buggier bright round eye. Fun to watch.

Notes:

These four walked up the beach, pecking away for sand fleas. After a few photos they turned right back around and walked off pecking in the other direction.
