Field Notes

Habitat:

I found plenty of these lovely flowers growing on the side of a mountain we were climbing in Barachois Pond Provincial Park in Newfoundland.

Ahhh cool... Prolly just poisonous if ingested much of that family is...
Looked it out, kalmia latifolia doesn't grow in newfoundland, but kalmia angustifolia does. Thanks for the help ! I did not know it was poisonous. Lucky me i didn't touch them !
Strike that it is Kalmia latifolia...I hate lil ericaceous shrubs,,,:)
Also called Fetterbush...Im not sure what species occur for Newfs :)
