Field Notes

Description:

This beautiful little bird appears to have two orange patches on the forehead. The crown of the head is black. It has a white eyebrow and a black eye-stripe. The breast is predominantly white with a yellow throat that shapes into an upside down "Y" along the flanks.

Habitat:

Diverse habitats over almost all of Australia - wet coastal eucalypt forest, rainforest and mangroves to watercourse trees and mallee or mulga scrubland of arid and semi-arid interior.
