Description:

I tried feeding this mantis an ant but I guess he had an aversion to formic acid. He looked it over for a bit and then slapped my finger away with the back of his front legs.

He was more interested in staking out a spot for an ambush near a porch lamp.

Habitat:

Near outdoor lamp.
