Notes:

The genus Nephila is the oldest surviving genus of spiders. The fossilized N. jurassica is known from Jurassic tuff dating back 165 million years, found in China.

Thanks, ChunXingWong. I'll update it. The only Nephila spider I knew of before was N. clavipes, but it doesn't look to be that species. I'll have to do some more searching.
