Description:

Shiny black female Flower Fly with green eyes and a green metallic tint to the face and underside of the body. She had white pollen on the head and eyes and was about 1 cm long. Family Syrphidae.

Habitat:

Came to an ultraviolet light in the garden late at night, San Cristobal de Las Casas, 2,200 meters.
