Field Notes

Description:

A friend sent me this photo. The bird was disoriented from strong winds and landed in this fishing boat. It spent a couple hours in the corner on the deck and then finally took off. These aren't the best pictures, but it is the first spotting on Project Noah for this species

Habitat:

In the ocean; offshore.

Notes:

I had some trouble identifying it because it is not even on the bird list for Kodiak, as they don't really go to the side of the island where the town of Kodiak is. This bird has a lot of very interesting attributes. Read about them in the link in the resources
