My pink hibiscus is often over run by white aphids. At first sight I remove those leaves/stems with maximum infestation...that sort of brings the population under control. Then I wet a piece of cloth/cottonwool with Neem oil and lightly brush (not much help) so used kerosene instead...but am always afraid it might kill the plant. So I go with pruning those stems that are covered with white aphids...thankfully, infestation is seasonal.
I will try to get rid of them. This is my first time growing milkweed, so it's the first time I've seen them in my garden.
Honeydew is a sugar-rich sticky liquid. It is secreted by aphids ....it encourages fungal growth.
