Field Notes

Description:

A beautiful butterfly spotted at our driveway. When I got closer to it, it closed its wings upwards (probably hiding its colours for protection?). It was quite camouflaged and you wouldn't be able to spot it if the colours weren't exposed.

Amazing that the back and underside are so different. Butterflies are amazing camouflage experts!
