Description:
Forewing length 17mm (base to tip), dark brown with whitish orewing spots. Underside greyish brown with the forewing spots showing through and with 6 prominent black hindwing spots.
Habitat:
Spotted at Taman Langsat - Jakarta, also found from India to S China and through South East Asia.
It has become widespread through the cultivation of horticultural palms that are its host plant.
Notes:
Suastus gremius, the Indian palm bob or palm bob, is a butterfly belonging to the family Hesperiidae.
