Field Notes

Description:

This small arachnid was about 8mm long. The part of the "face" that has the eyes goes straight across the head and is not curved. This makes this one fall in the Family Eremobatidae.

Habitat:

In our house which is surrounded by Oak woodland and Chaparral habitats. Windscorpions or Sun Spiders are neither a scorpion or a spider. They are a different type of arachnid that are found in arid areas of both North and South America.

Spotted by my husband.
