Field Notes

Description:

A beetle of unknown name. Please help me ID this bug

Habitat:

La Paz, Bolivia (at 10500 feet/3200 m above sea level), in my garden bush. Climate ranges from 10 to 25 Celsius

Notes:

I have seen this bug the first time when I was a child (4-5 years old). Then after 20 years (now), I've seen it again randomly appearing on my garden bush. All I know is that everytime I see it it brings me luck, I don't know why!
Now I know it's a beetle, but I'd like to know the Scientific name and more info about this interesting bug.

Species ID Suggestions

That's probably a striped cucumber beetle.
