Field Notes

Description:

It could just as well be an immature little blue heron?

Habitat:

This pair was in a shallow pond on the RJ Reynolds Estate on Sapelo Island.

Notes:

When the little alligator swam by the bird began to follow it, presumably to see what tasty treat it might stir up.
