Description:

Awesome tree, low branches, loses leaves in winter (deciduous), stunning flowers that lead to cotton-like tufts where seeds come in.

Habitat:

Tropics, sub tropics, Mexico, El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala

Notes:

I've noticed that the seeds dont sprout unless eaten by squirrels...don't know if thats a thing.

Thanx Filochefia, no estoy segura si es Bombax elipticum o pseudo, a mi tambien me encanta, ahorita no tiene hojas pero ya tiene los botonsitos de donde saldran flores pronto =)

Su nombre común es Ila y su nombre científico es Pseudobombax Elipticum. Pariente de la pachira acuática y la ceiba :) me encanta ese arbol..
