Field Notes

Description:

This moth has a very sleek look to it. Various shades of brown with lengthwise dark brown streaks on wings and body. Body is a more reddish brown and wings are a more ashy brown. No visible antennae.

Habitat:

Found on a lemongrass plant in herb garden

Notes:

I spotted this moth last summer (2010). This is the only time that I have ever seen one.
