Field Notes

Description:

I was looking for argiope aurantia on the border of a meadow when I stumbled upon this shamrock spider, another common orb weaver in Massachusetts. I remember this being a very windy day and the spider having a hard time rebuilding her web.

Habitat:

Wet meadow.
