I have a similar spotting here: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/5546508. Obviously, we're very far apart on these spottings, but they look quite similar. I would suggest checking out if it has been introduced to India, or look for a species of Heliconia that also has the downward-facing inflorescence.
