Field Notes

Description:

This male scarlet tanager was challenging to track down at Mt. Auburn Cemetery. I finally caught up with him high in this oak where you can see him eating catkins. It was difficult to get a good shot through the branches. The female was nearby but I could not get a clear picture of her.

Habitat:

Mixed woodlands.
