Description:
Roots, leaves, and seed (yellow in second photo) of the Red Mangroves along the beaches of Darwin Bay on Genovesa Island. These trees are the nesting area of choice for Red Footed Boobies. The seeds are able to withstand extended periods of time floating in saltwater until they wash up on a beach to germinate.
