Field Notes

Description:

I saw this bug, perhaps some butterfly, yesterday around midnight. It's attracted to warm light, likes to sit on my couch, and does stupid and suicidal thing such as flying into an air intake of a wood burning stove.

Species ID Suggestions

I proposed an ID. I'm not sure, there are so many diferent "brothers and sisters" of this typ o bug, but it looks very much like it. In spring we have a lot of them in the Western Hungarian region. You may connect it to the mission "Pannonina wildelife" which I created. It would fit perfectly.
Thanks, I too think it was a Smrdljivi Martin, but I wasn't sure.
Looks like a member of Heteroptera group of insectes. Could be Arma Custos, Elasmucha sp or Pentatoma sp. Croatian names cover all similar bugs as Smrdljivi Marrin or Stjenica. Pictuer is to small for me to be sure, since I am not a specialist but only enthusiast!
