Field Notes

Description:

A small moth with a wing span of 20 mm that tented its wings when at rest. The wings had black and white patterns. <br>
Labial palps were re-curved.

Habitat:

Attracted to bright garden lights - warm night.

Notes:

Larvae of these moths feed on Mimosaceae (wattle). They live in shelters of folded leaflets held together with silk. <br>
Family: Cosmopterigidae
