Field Notes

Description:

45mm long. Dark brown with golden yellow single band. Mostly seen alone. Slow flier. One was taking nectar from banana flower and the other flew in and there was a brief fight before both of them settled to feast on the sweet nectar.

Habitat:

Spotted on a banana plant in the late evening when the flower opens.
