Field Notes

Description:

Small shrub approx 40 cm high. Small "tongue" shaped leaves.

Habitat:

This one was growing along a cliff edge at Canyonlands NP at approx 5200'. Arid, red rock desert.

Notes:

Looks very similar to Curl-leaf Mountain Mahogany except it grows at a shrub instead of a tree.
