Quite large in size with a red face.

Notes:

I spotted this bird near the base of Cotopaxi volcano in Ecuador.

Wow you're good!! I looked forever on Birds of Prey of Ecuador type sites and I could not find a thing! But this is definitely right.
Omg, Rachel, this took so much research, but i could tell it was a Caracara so:::: Carunculated Caracara. Note striations, yellow face and legs
