Description:
Taken at Tagus Cove on Isabela Island. In the first photo you are able to see the turquoise eyes of an adult. Their vestigial wings are visible in the third photo.
Habitat:
Only found on Fernandina and northern and western Isabela Islands.
Notes:
Species is endemic to the Galápagos, and very vulnerable, with only 600-800 breeding pairs.
