Description:

The adult is considered an agricultural pest, causing damage to many fruit crops by piercing it with its strong proboscis in order to suck the juice - hence the name.

Notes:

This Fruit Piercing moth was in the garden atop Doi Inthanon, the highest mountain in Thailand.
